A prayer to Nut
Hello again everyone! I have been doing so much lately. Doing my book of shadows, art work... And a relative of mine has sadly passed... So I thought I'd put up a prayer to Nut for her. And everyone is welcome to use it. It was found inside the lids of sarcophaguses.
When from the dead person:
O my mother Nut.
Spread yourself over me
So that I may be placed among
The imperishable stars
And may never die.
When from the relatives:
O mother Nut.
Spread yourself over (relatives name)
So that he/she may be placed among
The imperishable stars
And may never die.
If you too have lost someone, feel free to place this ancient prayer on their grave, or say it at the funeral.
May the goddess Nut watch over your loved one, and may Anubis watch over their tomb. May Nephthys comfort you, and may Isis wipe your tears away. <3

Apologies
Sorry for not posting recently. I have been rapped up with some rather exciting activities. ^^ I was in my school play, and the art department in my school has me caught in a rather sticky web... Let alone my friends, and being a senior... Piled drived with school work... Tends to exhaust me. Let alone all of my respnsabilities, and college to get ready for.
I particulary had to say an apology to Isis. It was a while before I sat in front of her... But I'm sure she understands.
Just wanted to say, I'm still here. You can ask me anything, etc. And I will be doing a note about Yule, how to celebrate it, who to celebrate for, etc. So keep your eye out! I'll be doing it soon!

So you're new to magic...
My best friend has an interest in casting spells, and all that magical stuff. I'm going to be helping her work her way in, and we'll see how she feels with all of it. Unfortunately... I can't be there to help everyone in the same way I'm going to be helping her. And sometimes people are a little uncomfortable taking their first steps. Let me put some of those fears to rest, and teach you a little about magic and it's works.
First off... Magic is not only good... It is not only bad... It is everything. I personally work with what is called "white magic". I'm a white witch. I help people. QED this site! Lol. Magic is not produced by the devil. So if THAT'S what's holding you back... You can confidently move forward on your magical journey. Magic has been around way before Christianities little boogie man story formed. But any Christian would argue, the devil has been around forever. Unlike their religion. Here's where my next lesson comes into play.
If you believe it, it is real. (to an extent). Yes my fellow kemetic kitties, there are demons out there, and there are angels. However... I do not believe in a devil. To me, some red man, with horns and a pointy tail is a rather ridiculous story to make people behave. But the Christians believe it. It is real to them. And god knows he wants to steal their soul.
But here's where this rule comes into magic. You have to put your full trust into a spell... You have to believe it will work! Or else it won't... Lemme put it this way. If you asked someone for help, but you constantly mock them, have no faith in them... Etc... Why would they help you? Get my drift?
Another thing is patience. These things take time. Some take more time than others... It could happen right away... It could be a month or two. If it doesn't work after a few times, after a few different spells... It just wasn't meant to be. Try to accept it, and move on.
If your looking for help, try Isis/Aset. She is the kemetic goddess of magic. If you ask her for help, she will most likely give it to you.
Now. Experience sometimes plays a role. I personally hit it off the bat when I first started doing magic. I guess I was a natural born witch. I was basically drawn to it after all... But others need some time. Practice makes perfect. Just don't expect to levitate anything, or move things with your mind... That's not what we do. Lol.
A long time ago, someone told me... You can try to be logical, and try to find a reason to why things happen... Shut yourself in... Or you can except that there is such a thing as magic... The unknown... And you will have a door swung wide open into a world you have never dreamed of... The only way to move forward, is to let yourself free from logic. What would it hurt? No one has to know what you believe... And if they do, and think your a little crazy for it... Who cares? You have something that they don't. You have spiritual freedom. And that my friends, is what I'm working towards. So if you have questions, I beg you ask them. The more you ask, the more you will know, and that's just one step closer that you are to freedom.

Get to know your past lives
Kemetics, I don't think, believe in past lives. They believe that your soul goes to the kingdom of Osiris, or your heart gets eaten by Amut and you no longer exist. However, I tend to agree with my religion very much. Just not fully on this one point. I'm not sure if I believe we go to heaven, or are re-born... Or even both. But there are some connections to the past that I simply can not explain.
I have a pretty good idea on who I was in my past lives. Do you?
If you want to know, it's simple. Get your incense, a few candles... I like white for this. Just focus, and meditate. Loose yourself. Or ask one of the gods, before you go under. Keep your mind clear, and it will come to you.
I like to do these things where I anm very comfortable. Sometimes it's in the house, sometimes it's outside at bloody 3 am. Lol. where ever you feel "connected" and comfortable is fine.

Get to know the hall of two truths
The hall of two truths, is where Anubis weighs the heart of the deceased. The heart is being weighed against Maats feather. Maat is the goddess of truth and justice. If the heart is heavier than her feather, that means the heart is full of sin, and the dead person who the heart belongs to, is not aloud to go into the kingdom of Osiris. Aka, heaven. When the heart is heavy, Amut, a goddess who is part lion, crocodile and hippo, eats the heart, and the person no longer exists. But if the heart is as "light as a feather" that means you can goto heaven, Amut gets no dinner, and you were a good person in life.

Get to know the god Anubis.
Anubis is the Greek name for this god.
His kemetic name is, Yinepu.
Appearance: Anubis has the head of a jackal, and the body of a man.
Parents: some believe that his parents are Isis and Osiris. Others, believe it was Nephthys, and Osiris. I believe that it was Nephthys and Osiris.
Spouse: his consort, is Anput. Same Image as her husband, only female. I personally see her as just a woman.
children: Kebauet, the Goddess of cold water. And Kebechet, Goddess of purifying the organs.
He is the god of: embalming, the dead, guarder of the tombs, he weighs the hearts of dead souls, in the hall of two truths. He also watches over orphans, and travelers.
Beer
Coffee
Cool water
Raspberries
Red meat
Dark chocolate
Rum
Seafood. Mainly shellfish, like lobster, and crab.
Whenever I find an old key, or get a new one, I always set it at the base of his statue. Anubis loves keys (I hear). He also likes pottery. And I so happen to make pottery. So I tend to bless the pots in his name.
Colors:
Blues, black, gold, and greens.

He loves the smell of cedar, pine, and myrrh.
