My best friend has an interest in casting spells, and all that magical stuff. I'm going to be helping her work her way in, and we'll see how she feels with all of it. Unfortunately... I can't be there to help everyone in the same way I'm going to be helping her. And sometimes people are a little uncomfortable taking their first steps. Let me put some of those fears to rest, and teach you a little about magic and it's works.
First off... Magic is not only good... It is not only bad... It is everything. I personally work with what is called "white magic". I'm a white witch. I help people. QED this site! Lol. Magic is not produced by the devil. So if THAT'S what's holding you back... You can confidently move forward on your magical journey. Magic has been around way before Christianities little boogie man story formed. But any Christian would argue, the devil has been around forever. Unlike their religion. Here's where my next lesson comes into play.
If you believe it, it is real. (to an extent). Yes my fellow kemetic kitties, there are demons out there, and there are angels. However... I do not believe in a devil. To me, some red man, with horns and a pointy tail is a rather ridiculous story to make people behave. But the Christians believe it. It is real to them. And god knows he wants to steal their soul.
But here's where this rule comes into magic. You have to put your full trust into a spell... You have to believe it will work! Or else it won't... Lemme put it this way. If you asked someone for help, but you constantly mock them, have no faith in them... Etc... Why would they help you? Get my drift?
Another thing is patience. These things take time. Some take more time than others... It could happen right away... It could be a month or two. If it doesn't work after a few times, after a few different spells... It just wasn't meant to be. Try to accept it, and move on.
If your looking for help, try Isis/Aset. She is the kemetic goddess of magic. If you ask her for help, she will most likely give it to you.
Now. Experience sometimes plays a role. I personally hit it off the bat when I first started doing magic. I guess I was a natural born witch. I was basically drawn to it after all... But others need some time. Practice makes perfect. Just don't expect to levitate anything, or move things with your mind... That's not what we do. Lol.
A long time ago, someone told me... You can try to be logical, and try to find a reason to why things happen... Shut yourself in... Or you can except that there is such a thing as magic... The unknown... And you will have a door swung wide open into a world you have never dreamed of... The only way to move forward, is to let yourself free from logic. What would it hurt? No one has to know what you believe... And if they do, and think your a little crazy for it... Who cares? You have something that they don't. You have spiritual freedom. And that my friends, is what I'm working towards. So if you have questions, I beg you ask them. The more you ask, the more you will know, and that's just one step closer that you are to freedom.
